An ancient Italian grain with a firm, chewy texture that's similar to spelt, Farro has been regaining popularity amongst gastronomes in Italy and America. Farro has a nutty flavor and texture and a low gluten content. Great as a side dish, salad condiment or an alternative to potatoes or rice.

Simply boil farro in salted water for about 20 minutes, drain and add fresh tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs. Garnish with grated Grana cheese.
