Gianfranco Becchina cultivates the prized Nocellara olives on his estate in Castelcetrano, near the ancient Gereek ruins of Selinunte in Western Sicily. Olio Verde is produced with passion and desire for prefection, applying ecological methods.

At the beginning of October, the olives are hand-picked at their peak, still green, which improves the quality of the oil while limiting the yield. For Gianfranco this practice contributes to recreating a flavor from his childhood, when his father and grandfater before him reserved the very first oil to be pressed exclusively for their family. The early harvest, followed by the most exacting production, define Oilio Verde's character - within hours, the olives are sorted, washed and pressed in Gianfranco's own immaculate frantoio.

Distinguished by its freshness, inimitable bouquet, bright green hue and near lack of acidity, Olio Cerde is a rare product altogether. Bottled in a distinctive flask, designed by Gianfranco and inspired by an ancient vessel, the oil is unfiltered and decants naturally, resulting occasionally in fine sediments at the bottom of the bottle.
